Techie commits suicide by jumping from terrace of 5-storey building

Bengaluru: A 26-year-old software engineer jumped from the terrace of a five-storey paying guest accommodation and committed suicide on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Rishab Shukla, a native of Nagpur in Maharashtra. He was working for an IT firm in Jigani for the past two months. He was staying at a PG accommodation at Doddathoguru in Electronics City. His room was on the fifth floor.
According to the police, Rishab went straight to the terrace and jumped on Saturday morning. The passersby found him lying dead on a pool of blood. They immediately called up the police and informed them about the incident.
The Electronic City police arrived at the spot and shifted Rishab’s body to the hospital for post-mortem Rishab’s family were informed about the death.
According to the family, Rishab was depressed as he was suffering from Kidney ailments. On Friday night, Rishab spoke to his sister and shared his sadness.
The police are suspecting that Rishab may have been depressed over his illness and taken this extreme step.
