Siddaramaiah signs pay hike order for state government employees

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has signed the pay hike order for the state government employees on Wednesday night.
More than 7 lakh state government employees will profit by the 30% salary hike suggested by the sixth Pay Commission. The order will be issued on Thursday and the Cabinet will confirm it on Saturday.
The overhauled pay scale will be effective from July 1, 2018, the request said. The legislature will likewise revise the base and maximum pension from the current Rs 4,800 and Rs 39,900 to Rs 8,500 and Rs 75,300.
