Two arrested in Currency racket

Bengaluru: A currency racket was busted by Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials on Saturday and two persons who were printing and circulating fake currency notes of Rs. 2000, Rs. 500 and Rs. 200 were arrested.
The accused have been identified as Chethan Tukaram (34) and Udaya Kiran (38). The officials raided their house in Vijayanagara and arrested the two. They have also seized 440 fake notes worth Rs.1.57 lakh from their house.
According to the reports, the racket was active from many months. The police have taken the two into custody and are conducting enquiry.
Along with the fake notes, the police have also confiscated bundles of paper and colour printer which were used to print the fake currency notes.
