‘Anti-Tipu’ remarks, High Court notice to Anant Kumar Hegde, C T Ravi

Bengaluru: A notification has been issued to BJP MLA C T Ravi and Union Minister of State Anantkumar Hegde by the High Court of Karnataka for hearing an issue with respect to their harsh remarks against Tipu Sultan, the eighteenth century Mysore ruler.
Justice R B Budihal was hearing an appeal filed by Alam Pasha testing the dismissal of his private complaint report by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court.
Pasha had recorded an appeal to looking for steps to the Indiranagar police to document a FIR against Ravi and Hegde for their harsh comments.
As indicated by the applicant, he had given a dissension at the Indiranagar police headquarters. Nonetheless, the police have not demonstrated any enthusiasm for recording the complaint and taking action.
Hegde had called Tipu a “mass rapist” and a “brutal killer” and had passed on to the state government not to welcome him to the “shameful” occasion of Tipu Jayanti on November 10, 2017.
