MLA Vedavyas Kamath visits bishop Aloysius

Mangaluru: The newly-elected Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath visited bishop of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza at Bishop’s House here on Tuesday May 22nd.
Kamath sought the bishop’s blessings and support for the next five years of his term as MLA.
Bishop Dr Aloysius felicitated the new MLA with a shawl and a memento while blessing him. He also extended his full support to Kamath for the development works to be taken up for the city. The MLA also sought blessings from vicar general Msgr Fr Denis Moras Prabhu who was also present.
They held discussions on issues communal harmony in the city and gave suggestions on how to maintain it.
Speaking to Msgr Denis Moras, Vedavyas Kamath said “I am an MLA not only for my party, I have to work for all the people in the entire constituency. I need every single person’s support in the coming days. Being an active social worker from many years I know you very well and your service is an inspiration to me.”
The MLA also met Fr Mathew Vas, parish priest of Angelore and director of Catholic Sabha. Fr Mathew Vas extended his support to Kamath to build a society of peace and prosperity.
