Bengaluru: A body of 45-year-old lady, Saraswati, was recovered from her home at the Vijayanagara Layout on May 28 in a partially decomposed stage.
The neighbors became suspicious as there was a foul smell coming out from the place of the deceased on Monday morning. The police who reached at the spot broke the bolt on the front door to enter the house. The prima facie evidence says that she was bound with a towel and chocked by her killers around 4 to 5 days back. The body has been moved to Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
The intention behind the murder is as yet hazy. It has become visible that the victim was isolated from her husband and was living alone in her home. Six months ago she had also forbidden her son from seeing her after a quarrel. As she was living alone, the crime did not become exposed.
Conditional evidences demonstrate that she may have been killed by people known to her, said the police. After the murder the murderers bolted the house and the front door to conceal their crime. Only after a thorough examination and investigation of the post-mortem report the correct reason for death could be learned.
DySP M K Thimmaya and Circle Inspector Ramesh, PSI Lakshman Gowda and fignerprint specialists assessed the spot for hints. A case is enrolled in the Ramanagara Town Police Station.
