MAHE to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21st

Manipal: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Division of Yoga, which has been conducting competitions for the past two months will culminate with the celebration of the International Day of Yoga on June 21st. .
Some of the programmes held were:
CYE programme on Philosophy of Yoga, summer yoga camp for children, Essay writing/Poster/Asana competitions, Guest lecture on “Translating Ancient Mantras to Proteins” by Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian, Professor at Hollings Cancer Center, Medical University of South Carolina, Free Yoga Practical classes at Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Free yoga practice sessions for MAHE Staff in the division itself and Yoga Selfie/photo competition.
Dr. Annapoorna K, Incharge & Head, Division of Yoga will organize a practical yoga session for the staff and students from 8.00 am to 8.40am at Dr TMA PAI Hall, II floor, KMC, Manipal on June 21st. There will be a stage programme from 8.45am to 9.20 am. Dr. HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, Manipal will be the chief guest and the guest of honour will include Dr Poornima Baliga, Pro Vice Chancellor,Health Sciences MAHE, Manipal, Dr.Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar MAHE, Manipal and Dr Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
