Bengaluru/Chennai: DMK working president M K Stalin on Friday took strong exception to the demand of Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to face off regarding the constitution of Cauvery water management authority in parliament. “The announcement of Karnataka chief minister to debate about the issue on Cauvery water management authority in parliament and failing to comply with the supreme court order by not collaborating to shape the authority are condemnable,” said Stalin in Srirangam on Friday.
The leader accused the chief minister for the neighboring state of not being fretted over the plight of the Tamil people in spite of his claim to keep up fellowship between the two states. It has been a long time since water was discharged from Mettur dam on the said date of June 1, he said. Stalin credited the DMK manage drove by M Karunanidhi with encouraging the arrival of water to Tamil Nadu as he had cordial relations with neighboring states.
Stalin additionally assaulted the state and central governments expressing that both the regulations were not bothered about the nation and its people. “The government in Karnataka is favoring its people. Yet, the government here is acting against to the interest of its people,” said Stalin.
