Annual Police Workshop at KMC Manipal

Manipal: The Annual Police Workshop organized by Department of Forensic Medicine, KMC, Manipal in association with the district police, Udupi will be held at the Interact building, KMC here on June 30, 2018.
Dr H.S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal will preside over the inaugural function and Mr Venkatesh Naik T., Principal Sessions and District Judge And Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Udupi will be the chief guest. The inauguration is at 9 am.
“The annual workshop is important for the police and they will get to know many things of importance and beneficial in discharge of their duties,” said Dr Vinod C Nayak, Professor and Head Forensic Medicine, KMC, Manipal. He will be delivering a lecture on importance of medico legal autopsy. The workshop will cover topics like, investigative methods in crime, NDPS Act, mechanical injuries, asphyxia death, evidence collection in sexual assault cases basic life support, hands-on-training and destressing
