Bride runs away with lover, groom marries his relative

Mysuru: A groom ended up marrying a relative instead of his intended bride after the latter eloped with her lover in the last minute.

Krishna Nayaka of Marbahalli and Nandini of H D Kote were engaged and their wedding was organized at the Srikanteshwara temple in Ullahalli.

Everything appeared to go well, but while the wedding arrangements were going all out, Nandini supposedly ran away from under her parents’ and relatives’ noses with her lover in the early hours on July 9.

Dreading for the mental well-being of their son if the wedding was broken, Krishna’s parents guaranteed that he was married on the same day by getting him married to a relative.
