Mangaluru: A speeding truck hit an elderly man at NH 66 Baikampady here on Wednesday.
The deceased is identified as Hameed(70)resident of Kavoor.
It has been reported that Hameed was on his way to Kulur from Suratkal. A speeding truck hit his bike. He sustained serious injuries was taken to a hospital immediately but was declared brought dead.
Truck driver has been taken into custody.
Mangaluru North traffic police have registered a case.
