Car plunges into a canal; four killed

Madikeri: Four members from a family died as their car plunged into a canal at Mantikoppalu village in  Periyapatna taluk of Mysuru.

The deceased have been identified as Palaniswamy (45), Sanjukumari (35), Poornima (19) and Likhit (15). Palaniswamy was driving the car. He was a mason, while his children Likhit and Poornima were differently-abled.

It has been reported that, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into a canal.

Police were taken out with the help of fire personnel.
