Moola Shiroor Math handed over to Sode Math

Udupi: The moola math of Shiroor at Hiriyadka in the district, which was in police custody following the death of Shiroor seer was handed over to Dwanda Sode Math on Monday, August 27.

“The key of seer’s room, store room, kitchen and mutt office were handed over to the Sode mutt representatives on Monday keeping in mind public interest,” informed Udupi district SP Laxman Nimbargi adding that the probe into the seer’s death is still continuing and a final report is awaited from KMC doctors.

It may be recalled that the custody of the Shiroor mutt in Udupi had been handed over to the math manager, Subramanya Bhat on August 13 earlier.
