Man held with 17 kg of poppy in Kathua

Jammu: Police allegedly arrested a truck driver with 17 kg of poppy in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday, officials said.
They added that the narcotics was being smuggled from Kashmir to Punjab. A police party intercepted the truck on the highway in the district. As much as 17 kg of poppy was seized, police said.
The driver of the truck was arrested and a case was registered against him.
