Celebrate festival without troubling others: Kundapur DySP

Gangolli: We should celebrate festivals responsibly. If we celebrate our festivals by not causing any trouble to the people, there will be peace in the society. Celebrate festivals with everyones cooperation, said Kundapur Police Sub-Division DySP B P Dinesh Kumar.
He was speaking at the all religion and committee officials peace meet held at Gangolli police station, in the backdrop of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
He gave more information on the rules to be followed and said, not to use any chemicals based paint during the creation of Sri Ganesh statue. Take prior permission for the related police station before setting up Ganesh Pendal and use of loudspeakers. Compulsorily provide information to the police on the installation of Ganesh statue, parade, visarjane and the daily cultural programmes.
While taking processions near other religious centres, care should be taken to not to make inflammatory announcements that may hurt the religious feelings of others. If need be, the Department has decided to book cases against miscreants attempting to spoil the peace in the society. The police department will also keep watch on any false news being shared on social media, he said.
