Secret love affair; woman commits suicide

Mangaluru: A young woman committed suicide in her apartment at Kadri on Saturday, October 13th. The deceased woman has been identified as Ashwini Shetty (26), a resident of Belthangady and was working for a finance company in the city.

According to police sources, Ashwini’s parents wanted her to get married to a person who was known to them. The parents had planned to get the two engaged when they found out that Ashwini was in a secret relationship with another man. Enraged by the secret, her parents took her to task on Friday.

Ashwini was very depressed after the incident and was found hanging dead in her room on Saturday noon, inform sources.

Kadri police have registered a case and are conducting investigations.
