Police thwart cow smuggling attempt, arrest one

Byndoor: Acting on a tip-off, the Byndoor police successfully thwarted a cow smuggling bid at Kerikatte near Shiroor and arrested one person out of the four-member gang.
Khazi Fahad, 19, is the arrested person. Three others identified as Naem Kandlur, Azim Bhatkal and Ifzal Bhatkal, however, managed to flee the spot.
A Tavera car being used by the gang was seized by the police.
A case has been registered under IPC 379 and 511.
