Sandalwood directors question actor Sanjjanaa’s #MeToo claims

Bengaluru: Sandalwood film directors questioned motive behind Sanjjanaa Galrani’s #MeToo movement today.

Film directors association president Nagendra Prasad said that they are supporting the #MeToo campaign but few actresses are misusing the movement. 

Directors from the association said that, they are in support of the entire #MeToo program but are doubtful regarding few actresses #MeToo claims.

Addressing the media, Nagendra Prasad said, “We will support to #MeToo movement, but Sanjjanaa and Ravi Srivatsa’s issue is a different one. Its nothing related to do with #MeToo movement,”

Director Ravi Srivatsa was accused by Sanjjanaa of forcing her to do over 50 kissing scenes.

She alleged, “I was made to do more than fifty kissing scenes. My mother was also sent back from Bangkok within 6 days. I was minor when I did the movie and I was forced to take part in the film without any option as I was helpless, voiceless then.”

Director Mussanje Mahesh (then assistant director for Ravi), cinematographer Mathew Rajan, editor Lakshman Reddy and other crew of the film took part in the press conference and and denied allegations.

In the press conference, Mahesh presented the news paper cuttings of the where Sanjjanaa had spoken good about the movie director.
