AI flight to Mumbai cancelled due to technical issue

Bajpe: The daily Air India (AI) flight to Mumbai was cancelled due to technical problems at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Thursday October 25th. The aircraft was approaching towards the runway when sighting technical problems, the flight was aborted.
As per the schedule, the flight was to leave from here at 12.45 pm on Thursday with over 65 passengers. However before takeoff, smoke was detected in the engine and the pilot immediately suspended the flight.
According to sources, the airplane will be air worthy only after engineers from another location arrive here and attend to the problem.
Alternative arrangements
As the Air India flight to Mumbai had to be cancelled due to some technical problem, alternative arrangements were made for the passengers of the flight, informed V V Rao, Director of MIA.
