Anitha Kumaraswamy wins Ramanagara Constituency with record margin

Bengaluru:  Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s has won the Ramanagara assembly seat with a margin of 1,09,137 votes.

BJP candidate L Chandrasekhar, son of incumbent Congress MLC C M Lingappa withdrew from the contest at the end moment. Notably, he rejoined the Congress party merely days after having joined the BJP ahead of the by-polls.

On November 3, by-elections were held to the Assembly seats of Ramanagara and Jamakhandi and three Lok Sabha seats of Ballari, Shivammoga and Mandya.
