Bengaluru: The Legal Metrology Department officials raided and booked 172 cases against jewelers, including few of the top jewelers for allegedly violating the laws.
The departments divisions in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Belagavi and Kalaburagi, on Monday and Tuesday conducted the raids at several outlets across the state in accordance with the instructions given by the Controller of Legal Metrology.
