Mangaluru: Rahul Gandhi must apologize on Rafale deal allegations and for misleading the people over the issue, said BJP spokesperson Jeethendra Kottary on Saturday December 22nd.

Speaking with the media he said, “The Supreme Court has ruled that it found no evidence of wrongdoings in the government’s decision-making process and it rejected petitions for an investigation into the Rafale deal.”

“Congress is playing cheap politics filled with lies. They have ruled the country for 50 years by telling lies to the people. They even associated their family to Mahatma Gandhi which is a lie. When UPA government was ruling, there were demands for the purchase of fighter planes. But no progress was achieved then. When Modi led NDA government came to power, he took up this matter and fulfilled the demands by signing the deal with France for buying 36 fighter planes,” he explained..

“Congress has been repeatedly making false allegations against BJP over Rafale deal. They had filed a petition which was rejected by Supreme Court recently claiming that it found no evidence of wrong doing by the government,” he added.

“We demand Rahul Gandhi to apologize for misguiding people and he should reveal that who informed him about Rafale deal and why Congress failed to begin the process of buying fighter planes when the demands were made when it was in power,” said Mr Kottary.

“Congress has been telling the people of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh that they will waive loans. But since they won the election Rahul Gandhi is taking the backseat regarding this issue. They won the elections based on lies. We are confident that in upcoming elections people will give Narendra Modi a second chance to become a Prime Minister,” he added.
