CCB police raid godown, seize illegally stored mid-day meal commodities

Mangaluru: Acting on credible information, the CCB police on Wednesday conducted a raid and seized illegally stored mid-day meal and Ksheera Bhagya items from Gurukrupa Oil Mill godown at Dambel in the city.
The police arrested three persons identified as Basavaraj of Koppal, Chandrakumar of Ashok Nagar and Rakshith of Chilimbi during the raid. The items seized include seven bags of Nandini milk powder weighing 25kg each, one quintal tur dal, 2.5 quintal rice and a lorry valuing around Rs 10,49,200.
A case was registered at Urva police station. CCB inspector Shantaram, Sis Shamsundar, Kabbal Raj and staff, district education officer Rajalakshmi participated in the raid.
