Illegal sand den raided: Two trucks seized

Mangaluru: Acting on a tip-off, a team of police personnel led by Mangaluru Assistant Police Commissioner on Tuesday conducted a raid at a spot in Adduru for where illegally extracted sand was being stored.
The raid was conducted between 3 am to 5 am on Tuesday morning. Police confiscated two sand-laden lorries and a truck that was used for the sand transportation during the raid.
Reportedly illegally extracted sand brought from the Phalguni river was stored in the areas of Adduru and Mutturu villages.
