9,031 cases disposed in 2 years
Mangaluru:
In a span of two years 9,031 cases have been disposed by the state Lokayukta and 6,734 cases still remain to be disposed, informed Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty speaking to reporters at the Circuit House during his visit to Mangaluru on Thursday.

When I took charge as the Lokayukta on Feb 1st 2017, around 7,350 cases were remaining to be disposed. Since then, 8,145 cases have been newly added until Jan 4th 2019. Along with this, the total amount of cases comes to 15,765. Of these cases, 9,031 have been disposed while 6,734 cases remain to be disposed, he explained.

Comparing the number of pending cases when he was taking charge as the Lokayukta to the number of cases pending to be disposed after two years, the number of cases solved are more, he said.
If the condition of the government hospital is compared with other districts, the conditions in Dakshina Kannada district are good. Here, government doctors provide good service here. With the increasing number of patients visiting the government hospital, the duty pressure is also increasing on the doctors. Even then they are providing good service,” he said
