Cops bust prostitution racket at Bejai lodge, four arrested

Mangaluru: Based on credible information CCB Police busted a prostitution racket being carried out from at Bejai Kapikad in the city and arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in the flesh trade.

The arrested have been identified as Nasir (26) from Uppinangady, Chandrashekhar (36) from Bantwal, Ashok (24) of Mannagudda and Abdul Razak, the lodge owner. Another accused named Jeevan, however, managed to escape.

Police rescued two women of West Bengal origin and seized Rs 19,500 cash, five mobile phones and an Alto car from the possession of the arrested persons during the raids. 

The arrested and seized items were handed over to Economic and Narcotics police station for further action.
