Absconding cattle theft accused nabbed

Mangaluru: A person who had stolen a cow from a goshala near here has been nabbed by the anti-rowdy squad on Sunday March 10th. The arrested individual is identified as Abdul Salam alias Tudva Salam, from Manjeshwar, Paivalike,
In March 2018, the accused had stolen a cow belonging to Rajaram Bhat from Punyakoti goshala after threatening the inmates with a sword. The crime was committed within Konaje police station limits.
A fast unto death protest, which was supported by several organizations, was held in the ashram urging for arrest of the suspect. The protests were given up after a suspect was arrested.
Salam already had 3 cases pending against him at Ullal police station, two cases in Konaje and one case in Vittal. The accused was arrested Chavadi within Konaje police station limits.
