No solution to the sand problem

Udupi: The upcoming elections have now become an hindrance to solving the sand problem plaguing the district.

On Tuesday, the officials of the committee fighting for sand met with the Deputy Commissioner and held discussions. The seven member committee expressed displeasure on the meeting not being held.

“Since the elections have been announced, I will discuss it with the election officer and then take a decision,” said the Deputy Commissioner informed the committee members.
