Sharath murder case: Another accused in police custody

Bantwal: Another accused in the murder case of RSS activist Sharath Madiwala in 2017 has been taken into custody by Bantwal police on Wednesday. The accused is identified as Khalandar Nissar. A week ago, the accused had surrendered before the jurisdictional Court.
The accused is one among the two persons who were allegedly involved in the attack on Sharath Madiwala on July 4, 2017 at BC Road that eventually resulted in the death of the victim.
So far, the police have arrested 18 persons and were on the lookout for Nissar and another Ibrahim, who is the 3rd accused and currently absconding.
Speaking on the issue Superintendent of Police B M Laxmi Prasad informed that a week’s custody of Nissar has been granted by the jurisdictional court. Efforts are also on to track Ibrahim, he said.
