Man from Assam arrested for kidnapping minor girl student

Puttur: Police have successfully arrested a man of Assamese origin in Bengaluru in connection to kidnapping of a minor girl student from Keyyoor village around 14 days ago. The kidnapped girl was located by the police two days ago and the accused man identified as Akhtar Hussain was arrested on Thursday March 21.
On March 8th, the minor girl went missing and suspiciously on the same day, Mr Hussain who is a mason from Assam also went missing. Soon, the father of the missing girl Bhaskar Poojary filed a complaint with the police accusing the mason of the deed. A case was registered in this context by Sampya police.
The police launched a search operation to locate the accused. Tracking the minor girl as well as the accused turned challenging as both of their mobiles remained switched off. But soon, the police got clue that the accused leaving Puttur and going towards Bengaluru.
