Exemplary Act: Tahsildar carries EVM loaded trunk on his head

Belthangady: During the process of mustering and de-mustering the EVM and other equipment related to voting into the strong room at Ujire SDM PU college, Belthangady tahsildar joined in with the staff and himself carried the trunks on his head.
By neatly conducting the election and by becoming an example for the staff by coming forward with ingenuity to carry put his duty, tahsildar Ganapathy Shastri’s act has set an example for other officials and also inculcated a proud feeling amongst the staff.
The assistant election officer H R Nayak, all mustering officials, sector officials and nodal officials enthusiastically participated with the tahsildar till 2 am in the morning for the arrival of all the units from all the polling booths, their orderly arrangement and their transfer to the strong room at NITK Surathkal with proper security arrangements. On this occasion one of the staff on duty captured the image of the tahsildar transferring the trunks by carrying the trunk on his head.
Persistent tendency of a soldier
Ganapathy Shastri has given his service as a soldier of the Indian Army for 15 years. After retiring from the army he gave his service for 6 years in the Postal Department. Later, he was appointed as a probationary tahsildar in October 2017 and In January 2019, he took charge as the tahsildar of Belthangady taluk.
