‘Solar electricity revolution’ at naxal affected Amasebailu

Solar light for 1,643 house

Kundapur: Amasebailu village in Kundapur, which did not have electricity connection, has garnered national attention through the installation of solar lights with separate light facility for 1,643 houses 27 solar street lamps. This will be inaugurated on June 9th at the premises of Amasebailu high school.

The work on the ambitious plan of the installation solar light facility in Amasebailu has just been completed at the total cost of Rs 2.13 crore. The plan has been implemented with the co-participation of Amasebailu Charitable Trust, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Scheme, Karnataka Bank Ltd Mangaluru, Amaseailu GP, Karnataka Renweable Energy Development Department, Udupi district administration and Selco Solar Light Pvt Ltd.

Inauguration tomorrow

The installation will be inaugurated on June 9th at 10:30 am by Dharmasthala Dharamadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade. Prayer will be done by Pejawar Seer. Karnataka Bank Administration Director Mahabaleshwar Bhat will preside over the programme. Many dignitaries including Udupi DC will be participating in the programme.
