Stone pelted at buses: Three arrested; situation peaceful

Vitla: The police have arrested three persons in connection to the pelting of stones at buses with the aim to harm social harmony. The arrested are identified as Punit (20) of Kula Karyadi, Guruprasad (20) from Mangalapadavu and Kiranraj (24) from Kepumaira.
Altogether 9 cases were registered in Bantwal and Puttur taluk limits and it is being said that the arrested are accused in 4 cases in Vitla and 1 case in Puttur. The arrested will be subjected to further interrogation and even more will be arrested assures the police.
Plan for bandh
A robbery case was booked against Akshay and others at Badiyadka police station in Kerala for waylaying cattle being transported and attacking the transporters within the station limits. Furious of this incident, a team in the guise of a bandh attempted to spoil the peace in Vitla, inform the police.
Bantwal: Clue found
Bantwal: A lead has been found regarding the accused who threw stones at buses on June 24-25 at Panemangaluru, Kudribettu, Shamburu, B Kasba and the investigation has proceeded further, informed Bantwal CI T D Nagaraj. A case regarding stone pelting of a KSRTC bus in Shamboor has been registered at Bantwal rural police station and 3 cases regarding stone pelting on two private buses and 2 government buses has been registered with Bantwal City police station.
