Matsyotsava fest held at Pilikula Nisargadhama

Mangaluru: The annual Matsyotsava event, organised by the fisheries department was held at Dr Shivarama Karantha Nisargadhama on Sunday, July 21 by releasing baby fishes into the Pilikula Lake .
After inaugurating the event, Kasturi Panja, vice-president of Zilla Panchayat spoke about nutritional benefits of fish. He said that the annual event has now started attracting visitors who can also buy the fish being sold here at affordable prices
A booklet titled ‘Javabdariyutha Minugarike’ was released during the occassion.
Gram panchayat member Hariprasad Shetty, Jayaprakash Bhandary, were among those present.
