Bengaluru/New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to the plea of the disqualified legislators for urgent hearing.
The division bench of the Supreme Court rejected the urgent hearing of the petition yesterday. Giri, the lawyer representing the disqualified MLAs, earlier today said that the petition has been approved for an emergency hearing by Justice S V Raman.
17 disqualified legislators had moved the Supreme Court challenging the Speaker’s order. The Supreme Court, which earlier today agreed to the plea for an urgent hearing, has instructed the Registrar to list the application.
