MIT gets Notable Mention Award from AICTE

Manipal: Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE was bestowed the Notable Mention Award, Karnataka Category at the Internship Day 2019 organized by AICTE and Internshala in New Delhi at the ICTE headquarters on August 25, 2019.

Dr BHV Pai, Joint Director and Dr S Harish Kumar, Associate Director – Industry Liaison, Placements and Practice School received the award on behalf of MIT. “We are honoured to receive the award and the students’ feedback on the internships provided by Internshala is excellent”.

In a bid to improve the employability scenario of students in the country, AICTE in association with Internshala, India’s largest internship and training platform organized the programme. It was attended by AICTE Chairman, Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, AICTE Vice Chairman, Dr. M.P. Poonia, Adviser – Policy and Academic Planning Bureau, Prof. Rajive Kumar, AICTE Deputy Director, Dr. Neetu Bhagat, the Founder and CEO of Internshala, Sarvesh Agrawal, Vice President HR, Hindustan Times, Monika Aggarwal, and 400+ training and placement officers of colleges across India.

Under the initiative, 154 students of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal pursued internships through Internshala from April to July. Thirty-five AICTE approved colleges were felicitated with awards in various categories like Zonal-level Winners, Most Innovative Colleges and Notable Mention. Overall, 15000 students from the institutions attended the internships.
