Jilted lover stabs girl in Hassan

Hassan: A 19-year-old jilted lover stabbed a girl in broad daylight and in full public view in Jholenarasipura here on Friday afternoon.

Manikantha from Nalaballi village in Arakalagudu taluk is the accused person.

The incident took place when the girl was returning home after attending college.

Manikantha was angered by her rejection of his advances and thus stabbed her with a knife in the Bholenarasipura Bypass, the police said. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

Passersby managed to nab Manikantha and handed him over to the police.
