Teenager drowns after saving his buddy

Sullia: In a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday, a teenager who noticed his friend drowning at Ubaradka stream, rushed to his rescue, rescued him but sadly lost his own life in the process.
The deceased braveheart is Yashwith (15), son of Dugaladka Kamiladka auto rickshaw driver Harish Gowda. He was a 1s PU student of Sullia junior college.
Incident synopsis
Yashwith and three of his friends had gone for a bath at the river when Kiran, who was amongst them began to drown. Immediately, Yashwith and two others, rushed to Kiran’s rescue and successfully carried him out on to the bank when in the process, Yashwith lost his balance and fell into the deep area of the stream. Since none amongst them knew swimming, it was impossible to rescue him. Besides, thre were no houses located in the vicinity of the incident spot.
Later, the police arrived to the location and recovered Yashwith’s mortal remains. He is survived by his father, mother and an elder brother.
