Bantwal Anganwadi centre’s roof collapses; major mishap averted

Bantwal: The roof of Sangbettu Anganwadi centre located in Bantwal taluk collapsed on Wednesday morning.

A roof made of cement sheet had been installed outside the 28 year old Anganwadi centre and a part of the roof came crashing down at around 10:30 am on Wednesday morning.

There were around 25 little children at that the time of the incident. Fortunately, no harm befell them as they were within the Anganwadi during the incident. Soon after hearing the sound of the crashing roof, the workers brought the children out from the centre.

ZP member Tungappa Bangera, TP member Prabhakar Prabhu, GP member Devappa Karkera and others have visited the incident location and inspected it.
