Man arrested for attempting to outrage modesty of woman on train

Puttur: A man tried to outrage the modesty of a woman, who was travelling by train and was consequently arrested on Wednesday, October 23.
Apparently, the woman was travelling from Nettana on the train when a person tried to manhandle her. She immediately pulled the chain and stopped the train. The accused man, immediately got down from the train and started to run away, but was caught by the public.
The accused is identified as Manju, a resident of Kengeri in Bengaluru.
The woman later reached Puttur safely.
A case in this regard has been registered at Puttur police station and information concerning the issue has been relayed to the railway police also.
