HC issues notice to Mysuru police on actor Sadhu Kokila’s plea

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court issued a notice to Saraswathipuram police in Mysuru on Wednesday, October 23 following a petition filed by the popular Kannada actor, music composer and director Sadhu Kokila.
The High Court has directed the police to file objections within one week after the lawyer of Kannada actor Sadhu Kokila told the court that the actor had denied the allegations of sexual harassment labelled against him.
The police had filed FIR against Sadhu Kokila despite his refusal of visiting the beauty parlour and sexually harassing the woman, actor’s lawyer told the court.
It may be recalled that a woman, who was rescued from a beauty parlour, had alleged that Sadhu Kokila and another actor, Mandya Ramesh, had visited the parlour and forced her for favours. The woman in he complained told the police that the owner of the parlour and three other men had sexually harassed her.
