Mangaluru: Compol warn cattle thieves

Mangaluru: The city police in order to tighten the security against cattle theft in the city, summoned 76 cattle theft offenders for a parade here at city armed reserve ground on Monday, December 9.

Mangaluru City Police Cheif, PS Harsha asked the offenders to stop such acts that may lead to communal disharmony and warned of legal action against if they continue to such activities.

He further added that the parade is also intended to send a clear message that the police are investigating each case registered on cattle theft and it’s status.

Explaining about the routine parades, Harsha said that they have set up a special crime monitoring cell to ensure that each case is taken its logical end.

“The city police are monitoring all the ongoing cases registered and people involved in such acts,” he added.

The offenders who were summoned in the parade had more than one case against them.
