3-day International Kite Festival inaugurated at Panambur beach

Mangaluru: The three-day International Kite Festival was inaugurated by New Mangalore Port Trust chairman A V Ramana and Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty at Panambur beach here on Friday, January 17.

Nearly 20 teams from seven countries participated in the kite festival, which is one of the main attractions of the ongoing 10-day Karavali Utsav Karavali Utsav organized by the district administration.

Few of the colorful and attractive kites included an 8-metre Hanuman, Yakshagana, black horse, tortoise, snake.

Yathish Baikampady, CEO, Panambur Beach Development urged people to come in large numbers to witness this kite festival.
