MIA bomb case: Accused will be punished, says Bommai

Bengaluru: Home minister Basawaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that the accused in the Mangaluru airport bomb case has surrendered before DG-IGP Neelamani Raju and more details in this regard will be revealed after the interrogation.
Addressing presspersons here he said, “The Mangaluru police have questioned Several people and many suspected places searched as part of the probe into finding out the culprit behind the planting of Improvised Explosive Device at Mangaluru International Airport on January 20. However, the accused has been surrendered before the police and the cops are interrogating him now.”
He further added, “Irrespective of the organizations the accused belongs to, he will be punished.”
“The probe is progressing well and more details in connection to the case will be revealed after the interrogation,” he added.
Meanwhile, Aditya Rao was taken for medical examination in St Martha’s hospital Bengaluru.
