Kasargod youth exhibiting Coronavirus symptoms put in isolation ward

Kasargod: A Kasaragod native has been admitted to the isolation ward of the District Hospital in Kanhangad after he exhibited Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, said district medical officer-in-charge M V Ramdas.
“The youth from Libya on Saturday. At Chennai airport, he came in contact with another person returning from China. As he is showing symptoms of COVID-19, he has been shifted to the isolation ward as a precautionary measure,” Dr Ramdas said.
“Throat swabs of the patient have been sent them for laboratory tests. He will be kept in isolation ward till the test results arrive,” he added.
Meanwhile the DMO advised people returning from Iran, Iraq and other countries to immediately notify to the health department if they exhibit Coronavirus symptoms.
