Mangaluru violence: DCP Giri testifies

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Arunangshu Giri submitted written statements and 38 other records on Monday, March 8 to Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha who is heading the inquiry committee on the December 19, 2019, Mangaluru riots.

The inquiry is being conducted at the Mini Vidhan Soudha here in the city.

Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliar, the qazi of Mangaluru, also submitted written statements to the inquiry committee.

Speaking to reporters later, G Jagadeesha stated that 30 police personnel of different ranks attended the inquiry and the session will be held on March 12.
