‘Lab for testing suspected COVID-19 case to be set up at Wenlock’

Mangaluru: State Health Minister Sriramulu on Tuesday visited Mangaluru to inspected the measures taken by the district administration to deal with the novel Coronavirus.
Addressing presspersons at the Deputy Commissioner’s office he said, “State’s health department is doing it’s best to tackle coronavirus”
“So far as many as 1,75,000 have been screened and a total of 10 positive cases have been reported in the state. Soon a lab to will be set up at Wenlock hospital to test the blood samples of suspected people” the minister informed.
He further warned the medical shops not to sell the masks at a high price. “If any medical shops are caught selling masks at a high price their license will be cancelled,” he said.
“District administration is trying to gather more information about the man who was tested positive for the virus in Kasaragod and is also trying to get in contact with his family and friends” he added.
