COVID-19 is not under control, need to extend lockdown: Sriramulu

Mysuru: Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu said that the lockdown imposed in the state needs to be extended in at least 18 districts.
“COVID-19 is not under control and the number of infected cases is increasing day by day which is a concern for the state,” he said.
He gave an example of Punjab which decided to extend the lockdown till April 30 and clarified the state government will take a call on the extension.
Sriramulu said that Mysuru district has been declared as red zone and the government will act on a pharmaceutical company that caused the spread of the virus in the district. He added that notice has already been sent to the management.
