Mangaluru: 70-yr-old Covid-19 +ve patient discharged from KMC hospital

Mangaluru: A 70-year-old diabetic woman, who had tested positive for coronavirus was discharged from KMC hospital, Attavara where she was being treated in isolation, informed the medical superintendent at the hospital.
The woman, with travel history to Saudi Arabia and was admitted to the KMC hospital here on March 20 with complaints of cough, fever and shortness of breath. Her throat swab tested positive for coronavirus and she was being treated at the isolation ward at KMC hospital.
“She was treated by the dedicated FLU team of KMC Hospital Mangalore as per the guidelines of the government,” stated the medical superintendent.
As her repeat test has turned negative for the infection, she was discharged from the hospital but has been advised to stay in home quarantine as per the guidelines, the official added.
The patient, meanwhile thanked the doctors, nurses and the hospital administration for the special care and treatment given to her during the stay in hospital.
