Zoom, a video conferencing app, gained popularity amid the Coronavirus pandemic. But, the app is also accused of leaking user’s personal information and hackers have been taking advantage of the security flaws in the app.

Now, the security exploits discovered in Zoom are being sold on the dark web. According to sources, Hackers are taking advantage of Zoom’s security flaws and selling zero-day exploits on the dark web for between $5,000 to $30,000 (₹23 lakh)

The faults such as webcam or microphone security to sensitive data like passwords, emails, or device information are being sold on the Dark Web.

Zoom has started facing criticism as reports of “Zoombombing” are being surfaced. Also, google has banned video meeting app Zoom for its employees, citing privacy and security concerns.

Zoom Founder and CEO Eric Yuan has apologized for the privacy and security issues being reported in his app.
